Indoor models may not withstand outdoor conditions without special protection, as they often feature more glass and materials less suited for weather exposure. Outdoor saunas are built to handle various climates. Always check whether your specific sauna is rated for outdoor use before installation.

Any dry, level, and stable surface such as hardwood, tile, concrete, or vinyl flooring. Carpeting is not recommended nor are radiant heated floors. If installing in a humid area (e.g. basement, garage), place a moisture barrier between the sauna and the floor to protect the wood structure.

Infrared saunas generally reach their optimal temperature (around 120°F-150°F) in 15-20 minutes. You can start using the sauna as it heats up, unlike traditional saunas that need to reach a high temperature first.

Minimal maintenance is needed. You can wipe down the interior with a soft cloth after use. Use mild soap and water periodically to clean surfaces. However, we recommend always keeping a towel beneath you to reduce necessary cleaning. No wood treatments are needed for indoor infrared saunas.
