"Full Spectrum" refers to infrared saunas that emit near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths. Each wavelength penetrates the body at different depths, providing a broader range of therapeutic heat options in a single session.

Far infrared saunas emit only far wavelengths, known for deep heat that supports relaxation, circulation, and sweating. Full spectrum saunas include near, mid, and far infrared, offering a wider range of benefits, such as potential support of skin health and localized muscle relief.

Traditional saunas heat the air around you, typically reaching temperatures between 150-195°F. Infrared saunas, on the other hand, use infrared light to directly heat your body, penetrating muscles more deeply and allowing you to experience the benefits of heat therapy at lower temperatures (typically between 120-140°F). This makes infrared saunas more comfortable for longer sessions while still promoting detoxification, circulation, and relaxation.

Infrared saunas are typically designed for either indoor or outdoor use. Indoor models may not withstand outdoor conditions without special protection, as they often feature materials less suited for weather exposure. Before installation, always check the manufacturer's specifications. Installing a sauna in the wrong usage environment and/or without proper protection may void a manufacturer's warranty.

For most users, 20-30 minute sessions are optimal. Start with shorter sessions if you’re new to infrared therapy. Using it 3-4 times per week provides excellent wellness benefits, though some enjoy it daily. Stay hydrated and listen to your body.

Only basic tools like a screwdriver and wrench are required. All major components and hardware are provided in the kit.

Any dry, level, and stable surface such as hardwood, tile, concrete, or vinyl flooring. Carpeting is not recommended nor are radiant heated floors. If installing in a humid area (e.g. basement, garage), place a moisture barrier between the sauna and the floor to protect the wood structure.

Infrared saunas generally reach their optimal temperature (around 120°F-140°F) in 15-20 minutes. You can start using the sauna as it heats up, unlike traditional saunas that need to reach a high temperature first.

Minimal maintenance is needed. You can wipe down the interior with a soft cloth after use. Use mild soap and water periodically to clean surfaces. However, we recommend always keeping a towel beneath you to reduce necessary cleaning. No wood treatments are needed for indoor infrared saunas.

Infrared saunas are highly energy-efficient, costing approximately $0.10 - $0.20 per hour to run, depending on your local electricity rates.
